In the evolving landscape of advertising production, the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and human creativity is redefining possibilities. This case study explores an innovative hybrid approach to creating tabletop commercials for the food & beverage sector, combining AI’s generative power with traditional live-action filming techniques.
As a director at the forefront of this field, I recently completed a project seamlessly blending AI-generated elements with in-camera footage. This article offers an in-depth look at the creative process, challenges encountered, and potential implications for the future of advertising production in the F&B industry.
The inspiration stemmed from the desire to embrace AI’s new aesthetic, reinterpreting it for luxury chocolate advertising. Observing AI-generated creations in various artistic fields revealed their potential for unprecedented visions. Rather than simply adopting this aesthetic, I challenged myself to reinterpret it in an advertising context, blending it with Mon Chéri praline’s classic iconography and elegance.
The goal was to create a unique visual language combining AI’s limitless creativity with Ferrero’s established refinement. I envisioned a commercial where AI-generated fluid, dreamlike forms would merge harmoniously with the chocolate’s glossy texture, the cherry’s softness, and the liqueur’s brilliance, creating an innovative visual symphony rooted in the product’s identity.
This fusion offered a new perspective on Mon Chéri, allowing us to explore visually the sensations and emotions of consuming chocolate in previously unimaginable ways while maintaining a strong connection to Ferrero’s heritage and quality.
