He has a distinguished and extensive career in advertising has given him the opportunity to work in a wide array of mediums from 20x25cm photo cameras up to the most modern high-speed digital cameras for TVCs, manipulating impressive details in slow motion.
Mario began working as a photographer in 1983 after graduating from the Cinema School of Milan, quickly acquiring commissions from some of the world’s largest brands. His appetite for the creative process naturally evolved to manifest in a desire to direct; from the treatment of the story, to the cameras, lenses, lighting choices and post-production, Mario explains ‘each is a great moment to add a personal imprint… complete focus on intimate details results in the beautiful image you see at the end’. Owing to his meticulous and continuous commitment to his craft, Mario is held in high-esteem within the industry, much sought after as an expert in food and table-top shooting.
He is constantly seeking new challenges, and takes great pleasure in experiencing new countries and cultures to shoot in, having worked across over 16 territories.
