Graduated from the Louis Lumière Cinema School in 1992, Pierre Barougier first worked as an assistant director on fifteen features such as “Death and the Maiden” by Roman Polanski, “Everyone says I love you” by Woody Allen, “French kiss” by Lawrence Kasdan or “Les Acteurs” by Bertrand Blier. In parallel, he directed several documentary films awarded in many festivals and distributed internationally.
Since 1999, he has been working first as DOP for Daniel Fauchon, THE director reference in food in the 80s and 90s, then has become himself a director/DOP specialized in the shoot of food commercials, providing appetising, mouth-watering, and beauty shots. His 20 year-experience allows him to make his skills, expertise, experience and know-how available. Since 2011, having his own premises, crew and equipment allowed him to always comfort clients and agencies who want impressive, never seen and spectacular shots that can be tested before the shoot. That’s why he has also become one the best tabletop director and one of those we contact for all complex and mouth-watering commercials : chocolate, caramel, yogurt, coffee, beer, burgers, cosmetic and beauty shots…
Pierre is someone very flexible, patient, talented, always keen on travelling, discovering, working with local crew and facing new challenges.
